Peer Review is exchanging essays with another student of the class. Through reading the essay I can give helpful feedback to the author on his written work as the reader gives constructive criticism. For the past day, I was a part of this experience being critique and having to critique others. My feelings towards the peer review were mixed; as this was my first peer review I was part of. This is new territory for me when it comes to English. This is the start of a new journey for me.

Being reviewed it was a great way from me too get a different view from the reader as I try to find my voice. For me not being that great when it comes to writing, it was great to receive constructive criticism from Evan. Evan gave good advice towards my paper. He said that my paper is strong when it comes to my detail but it is weak when it comes down to how my paper flows. These are good notes to help my paper become better with working on my organizational skill and on my transitions. Now my paper probably needs much work because writing is not my forte but the more I work on trying to get better the more success I will have.

Now having to give out my comment for the peer review I was hesitant at first. Being I of all people, I don’t think that I am truly certified to tell someone if there paper is worth being change because I am not a strong writer. I tried to give Evan my best opinion of how his paper would be stronger. Just giving little comments of adding to his paper that would give it more depth. Like adding how the game made him feel or did it affect the relationship that he had with his friends or family. Truly this being my first peer review I feel I did it wrong and didn’t give good comments that would truly help his narrative essay.
There is not much really else that I can say about the peer review but that I will do much better the next time since now I see what is to be asked from us. I just hope Ms. Giddens won’t get on me too bad for put my input towards the review so poorly, even thought this is my first time.
